Nada Surf, the band that did that corky Weezer-ish ‘one hit wonder’ “Popular” and have since become lo-fi indie-pop darlings (most recently releasing the critically acclaimed gem The Weight is a Gift), are set to release their new record Lucky next Tuesday on Barsuk Records. The band is in the middle of a lengthy tour, including stops all over the UK, Europe, and the US (check out the schedule and all the info here).

You can stream the entire record via the band’s myspace page, as well as check out the video for “Whose Authority.” The band also posted today about changes in their tour line-up:

“There have been a number of changes in the support for the upcoming US tour.
As of now, our friends Sea Wolf will be opening from March 17-April 3.
Brooklyn’s, The Jealous Girlfriends (www.myspace.com/thejealousgirlfriends)
support from April 3-April 12 (except for April 11). Illinois support on
April 13. Wow. Hope that’s clear.”

*Apologies for the title of this post. Couldn’t help myself.
