
Conor Oberst, that sensipup, doe-eyed, singer-songwriter of Bright Eyes fame, has announced that he’s signed on with Merge Records for his first solo album since he was, like, 11 or something. Oberst has been signed with Saddle Creek his entire career, and has released 9 Bright Eyes albums, as well as a few other records for various projects, including that kick ass Desaparecidos album.
The self titled release is Oberst’s first solo album in over 12 years, and is due out Aug. 5th.
